Meeting the Needs of the Hairdressing & Beauty Industry
The World Federation of Hairdressing and Beauty Schools was established in 1962 with objective of improving training for hairdressers with a strong emphasis on the practical and social skills so important to the industry.
Having evolved through the years reflecting changes in educational needs and the trends in fashion the World Federation now has member schools in the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland and a number of countries in South East Asia.
The organisation is a member of the Hairdressing and Beauty Industry Authority (Habia) Hairdressing Forum, and attends regular meetings where decisions are made on the educational needs of the industry.
World Federation of Hairdressing and Beauty Schools is also recognised by the Hairdressing Council for meeting the requirements for registration of hairdressing training in the United Kingdom
The World Federation has its own Assessment Programme which is a two part process of an in-house assessment of individual students followed by an external verification for theory and practical skills.
Who are we?
An independent management organisation offering hairdressing and beauty Schools in the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland and abroad, an educational syllabus that will enable their students to achieve a high level of practical skills, supported by sound theoretical knowledge.
Upon graduation from the programme, students will receive World Federation of Hairdressing and Beauty Schools certification and can apply to the Hairdressing Council for State Registration status.
